About me
Basic information
My name is Nejc Škoberne [nets ʃkɔbεrnε] but some (mostly old friends) prefer to call me Nejko [nekɔ]. I was born in 1983 and I already have some grey hair. I am married to Mica and have a baby Jakob. We all live in Ljubljana at the moment. However, we hope this will change some day.
Education
I went to primary school Osnovna Šola Franceta Bevka Tolmin, where I also learned some music and QBasic. After that I went to high school Šolski center Nova Gorica, where I was in the “general” class (“splošna gimnazija”). After that I went on to study on University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Computer and Information Science. I am going to graduate very soon.
Work
I started working (student work) as a system administrator and engineer in 2000 at Infrax d.o.o. in Tolmin. I am particularly interested in open source operating systems as Linux and FreeBSD and in information security in general. Recently I accepted a new job at Viris d.o.o. which I am starting in December 2008.
Free time
I have been a scout for many years and I still like scouting. I also play guitar and violoncello and I also did a few compositions on my own. I started to play with computers when I was a kid so it is also my hobby.
