I promise I won’t delete my blog’s mysql database again. Moreover, I’ll also make backups. The previos one is simply gone, so bear with me. Actually, quite some things happened since my last post on the previous blog.

With my wife Mica we are expecting a baby. Actually, she or he (we know the gender but are not telling anyone) is probably coming out of Mica next week or so. The “due date” was prognosed as 7 November 2008. Most things are prepared, so we are ready for the major change in our life style. No more sleep.
I wrote my thesis (Improvement of pfSense with user services) but have not yet defended it. I’ll do this in the following weeks, sometime until the end of november. The thesis is a rough plan on how to integrate end-user services such as jail, file services etc. in pfSense while keeping it as secure as possible. I propose using FreeBSD jails, which is a virtualization layer at the level of operating system (native to FreeBSD).
I am in the process of getting a new job. Actually, I already got it and I’m starting it in December 2008. Until now I have worked at Infrax d.o.o. and from December on I’ll try to be useful at Viris d.o.o. More to come in December about this.
Our appartment at Merčnikova 1a, Ljubljana, went through some major changes. We painted our living room and changed the floor, so it looks like new. Come and visit us if you want to see it. =)
